Awards and Titles

NOTE: Only those certificates gained when the person was a financial member will count towards Title certificates.

Note that a dog may be in different levels for Handy dog, Zoom and Rally. Check the website list of awards if you cannot recall what your dog has gained.


FOUNDATION© CLASS 

Eligibility

A dog may be any age to compete in Foundation©.

A dog may be entered in this class until a qualifying score in Novice is attained.

A dog may be entered by more than one handler in this class but only its highest score on that day will be counted toward its title.


NOVICE CLASS
 Eligibility

A dog may be any age to compete in Novice.

Any dog may be entered in this class until a qualifying score in Advanced is achieved. A dog may be entered by more than one handler in this class but only one of any qualifying certificates earned on the same day may be counted towards its title. After a dog earns the Novice title it may continue to compete in this class for milestone certificates until it achieves a qualifying round in  Advanced .

Novice Title

Three qualifying scores of 90 points or better, earned under at least two different judges, are required.


ADVANCED CLASS (a “standard class”) 
Eligibility

A dog must be at least 12 months of age to compete in  Advanced.

To be eligible for this class dogs shall have won the Novice title, prior to the close of entries. After earning the Advanced  title a dog may continue to be eligible in this class for milestone certificates until it achieves a qualifying round in Excellent .


Advanced Title

Three qualifying scores of 90 or better, earned under at least two different judges, are required. One of the three qualifying certificates must have been on 100 points.


EXCELLENT CLASS (a “standard class”) Eligibility

A dog must be at least 12 months of age to compete in Excellent.

To be eligible for this class dogs shall have won the Advanced  title, prior to the close of entries.

Titles

Novice Title - Three qualifying scores of 90 points or better, earned under at least two different judges, are required. 
Advanced Title -Three qualifying scores of 90 or better, earned under at least two different judges, are required. One of the three qualifying certificates must have been on 100 points. 
Excellent Title -Three qualifying scores of 100, earned under at least two different judges, are required. The Rally Excellent title is designated as RE and occurs after the dog’s name. 
Advanced excellent Title -Upon completion of the Rally Excellent title, qualifying scores may be accumulated from the Rally Advanced B Class and the Rally Excellent B Class to earn the Rally Advanced Excellent (RAE) title. To receive the RAE title a dog must qualify, at the same trial in both the Rally Advanced B Class and the Rally Excellent B Class, ten times. The RAE title occurs after the dog’s name and a numeric designation will indicate the number of times the dog has met RAE requirements, i.e. RAE2, RAE3, etc.

Milestone badge.

NZARO charges $10 for a #10 badge
but all other badges are free for members.
NB: we currently only have 10,20 and 30 patches.

Milestone awards

Merit certificates will be awarded for earning 70-90 points in a class.. The first Milestone is 10 certificates. Once this has been achieved you can apply for a Milestone badge, using the form on the left.
